HP Apollo Series 700 Model 705 Workstation
Series 700 Model 705 Overview
The HP Apollo Model 705 is the highest-performing entry-level desktop
workstation in the industry, and it expands HP's record-setting
PA-RISC-based Series 700 family. The Model 705 delivers 35 MIPS, 34
SPECmarks, and 8 MFLOPS--setting new industry price/performance
standards. The Model 705 is the affordable workstation of choice for a
broad range of applications that require fast X Window System and 2D/3D
wire-frame grayscale graphics.
The Model 705 is designed to meet the needs of traditional
workstation markets such as computer-aided software engineering (CASE),
database management, desktop publishing, and desktop productivity, as
well as many emerging markets such as customer services and financial
services. Multi-media functionality is also supported in the form of
audio and image viewing capabilities.
With the Model 705, HP has set the entry-level workstation
performance standard against which the competition will be measured for
quite some time.
